Please note that our applications for the 2025 session will become available by November 1, 2024. Please check back then for updated application information. The following information from last year is here so you may be familiar with our process.
Our application is a three step process.
First, please read our letter to applicants which details our admissions criteria.
Then, fill out the application form online.
Finally, send to us by email:
- The applicant’s Pupil Appraisal Form that identifies the student as gifted as well as the most current IEP. Applicants that are not identified as gifted by their parish or school should contact us for alternate methods of identification. Applicants from other states please send the equivalent information. Contact us if you have any questions.
- The applicant’s grades from this school year and last year. An unofficial transcript or printout from your school’s website is sufficient.
- Any test results that the applicant has that may impact their admission (LEAP, ACT, PSAT, etc.)
- A completed teacher comment form.
The email address to send this information to is: office@gpgc.org

The Governor’s Program for Gifted Children strives to provide our community with the tools to embrace a changing and challenging world. To that end, we will engage all communities and under-represented populations. The GPGC will be inclusive of all—regardless of age, color, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, marital status, military status, national origin, religion, sex, or sexual orientation—in admission of qualified students, employment, and participation in its educational programs, services, and activities.
